Hello neighbor - I was just there in Talkeena 2 weekends ago! I'm so glad break-up is over! Tomorrow will be 60 to 65 here and I'm sure the pony hair will be flying! Eagles, geese, ducks and robins are back. Yipee!

talkeetna is one of my favorite places, yes north...about 2 hours from anchorage. its said to be a small drinking village with a climbing problem (McKinley in the backyard)

I really love the 2nd pic but I prefer mountains that you can acctualy climb like gunsight (8 miles south of eurika) I was out there 2 sommers. ago we hunted ptarmigan with our bare hands. It was grand. You should go look at kodiak in about 2 months it will be great salmon berries will be out and it will be a solid mass of green. I love this state and we have a full quarter of th land mass of the US so realestate prices are low! (except in Anchorage)

Oh and longhorne 13 and woody(who left the forum) live here aswell.
