I was looking at the cannister filters or "Dry" filters?
Anyone have any information of these? Also which brand makes you prefer?
I am looking for one 75-125g tank. thanking you in advance,

Justin

I have two cannister type running my tank- I have found them to be excellent and trouble free. I wouldn't run anything else.
No need to get your hands into the tank and cause muck disturbance when lifting out the filter etc. etc.

I don't currently have any canister filters, but for info, the Eheim brand models are often given good reviews, as is the Marineland Magnum 350. Rena Filstars, also.

Eheim Classics and Pros are by far the best canister filters out there. They are extremely reliable, top notch quality, and run completely silent. I highly recommend them. You do pay the price for them though, and the other brands get the job done well enough if you can't afford this Bentley of filters.

Both Filstar and Fluval are worthy canisters. Both get the job done and are easy to maintain. Filstars have a reputation for being better built but louder then the Fluvals.

The Magnum is a little bit different, I'm not a fan of them but some people love them. Personal opinion in the end, as any of these filters will do what you need them to do.

I have a Fluval 304 for my 36 gallon, and a Fluval 204 for the 29 gallon. Both run silently and are doing the job very well! No complaints.

I've also heard that eheim's are the best, and will probably use one (or two) on my 90 gallon discus dream tank. Anyone have any recommendations on eheim models for this size tank?

you can use a 2215 or two 2213 ehiem cannisters for your discus tanks it is a great filter..
