    50 Gallon Small Cichlid Stocking

Yes, those cichlids would be good. But if you want a peaceful cichlid tank, then get female electric yellow cichlids, because males are usually quite aggressive! You can tell if it is a female if it has almost see-through or white dorsal fins and anal fins. The males will have a dark black anal...

    Fish not acting right

When I buy new fish, and i turn on the blue light, it does stress them out but not too much. They have never died because of that with me. But after a few days they get used to it! And some of the bottom dwellers come out at that time! :D

How many tetras in a 150L tank?

Female bettas are fine, and can definitely go with tetras. I have seen HEAPS of successful tanks with a female betta. They are quite peaceful. It is the male betta that kills other fish and are really aggressive. And Bluebubbles has a FEMALE better. Not to be rude or anything, just wanna point...

Pregnant female guppy has thin white string hanging from anus.

Well, the guppy isolating herself away from her friends is actually a good sign. That means she is really close to giving birth. So it isn't a bad thing at all. The female will find a calm spot away from the other fish to have her fry. So you are definitely right, she is not far off! But about...

    Fish not acting right

That's good to hear! I do that too, although instead i turn on the blue light in the LED light which also stimulates nighttime for my fish, which I like to call "The Night Light".

Ammonia level still high despite 7 day 50% water change. Please help!!!

You can get AmGuard online for quite an okay price! I have used it for a while now, and it does the trick! ;) It is a chemical that kills ammonia somehow. Definitely recommend it for you!

    Platy questions

Well that is good to hear! She is definitely coming closer and closer towards giving birth! The thing is you want to feed her much. Not a lot, but a bit more than you normally do! Because somehow it makes the gestation period a lot quicker and will make her feel a lot safer and happier. Just...

    Rescaping and losing Shrimp

Well, make sure you find a spot to siphon water out in your tank where there are no signs of shrimp. If you didn't then you might've sucked them up. But if they died from the rescape, they could've disappeared if you took out decor or plants, and they were actually on it. Or since Cherry shrimp...

    Fish not acting right

Well, GloFish are genetically not stable, because of the coloration on glow on them. So this can cause sicknesses very easily. And if you just got it, it could have already been sick. But by the sounds of it, it has swim bladder disease; the fish is swimming all over the tank with no control...

How do I remove algae from gravel?

A gravel cleaner you can get at the shops for pretty cheap. How it works is you suck on the the pipe end and let the water flow through the tube and into the bucket. Place the large area that is in the tank into the gravel, and it will slowly suck up the algae and remove it. When you stick it...

Has anyone had experience with White Cloud Mountain Minnows???

Hey, everyone! I am thinking of breeding white clouds (White Cloud Mountain Minnows). I have kept them for around three months now! They are an awesome fish! I realised a month a go that I have 2 males, and 2 females (how convenient) and now I really want to breed them and give them to the pet...

    Help with aquarium heater?

Maybe you don't have to have a heater in your tank at all. A tank that small can stay above 75F all day and night, because it is such a small enclosure. But first tell me what type of fish there are in your tank? I have a Neon tetra in a 20L (5 gallon) tank with no heater and it doesn't get...

    Pregnant Platy- Need Advice

Your welcome! Dropsy is the most annoying disease EVER in my opinion! But I am sure you are doing a fine job in fish keeping! We are all just learning, and will learn from any mistakes we make! It is all part of the hobby. BTW: I have a YouTube channel that you can learn from, I have done some...

    Pregnant Platy- Need Advice

Yep! That is 100% Dropsy Desease.:( I'm sorry to hear that! Dropsy is untreatable at this stage and your best off killing her. I know it sounds super cruel, and it is a really hard thing to do, for me too! But it will stop their suffering, unless you find a miracle to save it! You can choose...

    Pregnant Platy- Need Advice

Damn! That is most likely dropsy. I have never had pregnant platy that had their scales spiked out, and when they did, they had dropsy. Please post some pics of it from above and from the side please. But it already sounds like she might have dropsy. And if she does, leave her in the tank or...

    Pregnant Platy- Need Advice

If she is already pregnant for sure then you can leave her in the tank for a few weeks until she gives birth! She might have aborted the fry, but if you leave her in there for a while she will eventually give birth. Feeding your fish frozen foods (frozen bloodworms) or live foods (mosquito...

Is this necessary for my co2?

Here is a trustworthy internal filter I recommend for you! Perfect and functions really well. Just make sure you don't have shrimp or tiny fish with this filter, or they might get sucked up by it! If you do have small fish and shrimp, a couple of sponge filters will be perfect! Your choice!

Some of my fish do get aggressive, my lab, angel, and pearl gouramies, but they never injure any fish!
