question in regard to the gravel vac - do you need one if you have sand? Wouldn't it clog it up?

I have never seen a pet place that keeps bettas in larger containers than that, sadly. It really isn't that bad since the water is clean :crazy:

hm I like the idea of paradise fish - just one or a pair? guppies wouldn't be bad either - I thought they weren't very hardy though :/

it also depends on what size tank you have them in. For example I have two female bettas in a 10 gallon (along with 3 rasboras and an algae eater). They fought for the first few days than got along fine. I guess I got lucky with two good-tempered ones. :thumbs:

its a chinese algae eater, and it already is pretty big. As for the bettas, i ended up with two mild ones, and they never fight or bother the other fish.
