How about 2 Sparkling Gouramies? I'm looking in to get them for my 10gallon. They only grow to be a inch-and-a-half, so they could probably go. ^_^

Do I have to :rolleyes: :P (meaning the only option) remove both those fish? Wouldn't that take out the "diversity" or somehing. I'am aiming for a look that shows a blend of different fish. On another point; do oto's get aggresive as they mature? Can I add one oto and take away two harlequin...

Wait a minuite! I just noticed! I do not have a algea eater or a "clean up crew". :crazy: Is it possible to add some kind of an algea eater? If not, than maybe we can take something away from the stocking to make room for it? C'mon give me some idea's :sad: (but thanks for all the replies so far!)

To put it bluntly; How is this setup in a 10 gallon tank: 2-Sparkling Gouramies 6-Harlequin Rasboras 5-Pgmy Cories 3-Platies(1:2 m/f) Is this over stocked or something? Any other stocking scheme you might suggest?

Get ready: some people might not have liked your decsion. While it's great and all that you saved the fish, in the long run.....well... some people, say around here thatit's better to let the fish die at the store. This way when no body buys the fish ,Walmart will have to shut down it's fish...

I was in my LFS some weeks ago and I saw panda corys for $14.00 each! :crazy: I mean is this the norm for this fish? How much have you people paid. I want to get those in the future but I also don't want to get ripped off!

Some people had success with common and bristlnose plecos :good: , as they are semi agressive, and can stand up to the harsh beatings of the prihanas

I'am not so sure about the knowlagable staff as there wern't any in the fish department or near it for that matter.

There are a couple of Wal-marts near me, and one of them has fish that are in pretty good condition(Well most of the fish) Aside from the fact that they have got a 8 inch bala in a small tank, and a tank of dying angles, the rest of the tanks are pretty good and clean, (oh yeah and the common...

Betta. Still remember him. Was my first (properly) cared for fish.

I started off by adding some where near 30 fish. Randomly picked. Some of which were Black Skirt Tetras, Neon Tetras, Goldfish, some random cichlid that was 6 inches with black spots( still don't know what it was) and a bucnh of other fish that I don't remember. All cramped in a small 10gallon...

I think it looks kinda cute too :good: It'd be interesting to have one that size in my house.

What I don't get is how people like plecs? I know allot of people might dissagree on this one but i just don't see the bueyt oin them. They just look lik lazy dull brown, coloured fish that just hang from thier mouths and suck algea. An yet people say they have personality. outta this world :unsure:

Although I didn't cut my fingers as badly as you did, I always magaeg to get a small cut every water change, by the lid. They should coat the edges with a soft gell or somthing...
