sure it's not the tiger barbs?? mine eat alot of plants when they're not too busy eating or chasing each other!

mine spawned today but i couldnt do anything about the eggs. as soon as it happened my tiger barbs munched them in seconds! could be an excuse for another tank lol!! :S start of mts maybe???? :S

very very peaceful!! the most i have seen them do is the largest to chase the smallest for around 5 secs...thats it!! they shoal well and sometimes they even join my tiger barbs for a liesurely get together lol!! ....but they dont have any tiger barb traits (ie nip other fish!)

so nothing special to actually get the fry, just keeping the fry alive then, ye?? i guess you did it seperately (ie not in a community tank?)

another point, advice from shops like walmart etc are usually pretty bad, always checkup here, ive learned that this forum is absolutely full of experts with unbelievable knowledge lol! and all of them are happy to help a beginner! take a look at the pinned topics btw they are always a help...

i dont see why you couldnt have them with those fish. dwarf rainbows stay small (6cm max.) and are really peaceful. they look great in a school. (6+)
