Shrimps?

Can anyone advise me on shrimps please, my tank is pretty much full, I'm going to get a mate for my blk phantom tetra, but a fancied a shrimp! do you have to keep more than one as with many species of the fish?

they are better if you have a few. I suppose it'll do ok without any friends, but they seem to come out more when there are more shrimp...well that's how it is in my own tank!

I think it depends on the type of shrimp and the size of the tank, etc. Small shrimp don't add much to the bioload, so keep that in mind. But 14gtr14 is right, most do like to be in larger groups.
