does anyone know what i can do with extra rosy barb fry? i dont have a big enough tank to keep them all and im not getting a new one anytime soon.

yeah, they pretty much live in any condition water,... and are pretty good with any kind of fish,too. The only problem might be if you ever put them in with a slow fish with long fins. The barbs will nip at them.

oooOOOooooO.... i got a good one-spinach! Mine love spinach and brussel sprouts. Soak em in hot water first and break off a leaf or two into the tank and see if your fish go for it.

you definitly shouldn;t have to turn off the filter. All you need to do is cover it with pantyhose and use a rubberband to keep it down.

where did you get your panda cory from? I looked like everywhere for them and no one seems to have them. Also- how expensive can they get? I heard around five dollars per fish when they are still small.

Rosy barbs get along great with tiger barbs because they have so many of the same characteristics. Rosies are also just as agressive when they are being fed, so there are no worries when it comes to making sure that all the fish get something to eat.

I know that tiger barbs nipping at eachother is perfectly normal, but I would watch them just in case. I used to have a lot of tiger barbs, and what I thought to be "playfullnes" turned out to be cannibalism.

im surprised your not already taking out dead fish. how could you think of adding more? I would get a new tank soon if I were you to put some of the fish you already have in.

As long as you wouldn't put any other fish in the 20g, 10 or even a couple more tiger barbs should be fine. Just make sure that the tank is a longer tank.

I have well over 30 rosy barb fry that are about a month old growing up in a 10 gallon tank. When would you consider putting them in with their parents?
