Just got a Panda Cory

I just purchased a baby Panda Cory - only about 1cm long. Very cute. Hope he does well.

actually that's why I only got the one. To see how hard they are to keep. He certainly looks happy, and is very actively seiving my sand at the moment.

where did you get your panda cory from? I looked like everywhere for them and no one seems to have them.

Also- how expensive can they get? I heard around five dollars per fish when they are still small.

I got mine at 1/2 an inch, and they were $6.08CDN each.

I really must be a lucky one!!

I've had my Panda's for a couple of Months now, Never had any problems, and 3 of them only cost £9. Yet I read on here that alot of people have trouble with them!

Anyways. I hope you Panda does OK, they are very fun to watch aren't they?

these are prolly the closest ones to you... give em a jingle... see if they have any in, and @ what cost ( i live in Canada, and we got em in our petsmart's for $8.99 CDN)

mine lived for about 4 months and then i added a second and the first got swim bladder and died and then the other died the next day

Are panda's real prone to diseases? I really want to know to be prepared in case I do get some.

nope. Just rpone to dying. Yur wtaer levels have to be perfect and u need pristine water.

Mine die ALL the time, with no symptoms, in perfect water. I heartily wish I'd never bought them.

one night they're all fine, next morning one is dead.

Mine all did fine until I got ich in the tank. Only one of four survived. But that was about 6-7 months ago and the one is still doing fine. My two albino and two peppered cories adopted "him". I'd like to get more Panda's but I can't seem to find any. I bought them from Petsmart but they said it was a special purchase and they don't normally stock them. Oh well, I'll keep looking.
