HI, great looking badis. I have kept Scarlets for a few years and found getting hold of females quite hard. I think they are not stocked so much because essentially they are boring looking. The number of times I have bought a 'female' only for it to colour up over a few weeks and be a fella..

they wont grow much on the size you have there.

My LFS manager said the same thing, the female Badis are hard to get hold of as they are boring, and don't sell well, so it was a surprise for him when his Badis shipment contained a female. (which I snapped up! :hey: :p )

I went over to MA earlier to sort out a co2 refill and found they had some scarlet badis in........I was really, really disappointed though because there wasn`t the slightest glimmer of colour on any of them. They were so bland that I thought they had to have been all female but I then saw what I think was about 4 males in there but even they looked really grey with only slightly darker markings :/
I was very tempted to get some, I thought they`d possibly colour up once they were settled into a tank but mentally slapped myself into realising that I haven`t really got enough room for then at the moment no matter how much I`d like to get them

There really are some good entries in TOTM this month so i am not going to hold my breath. just one vote will make me happy enough. :hyper:

Thank you very very much. I am really happy with it just wish i could recreate something on a bigger scale in my main tank.
Really am loving the fish as well, just hope the plant do alright. only using API leaf zone as dosage on the bottle states with the arc light on for 8hours a day.
Was thinking of making a mini DIY c02 setup for it due to how well its worked in my main tank. :hyper:

Added a little bit more moss that i got with my kuhli loachs for the other tank.
On re planting my main tank i realized that i had to much Jarva Fern so i have added another piece to the SC Badis tank.
Thats the update and here are the new pics.

I was wondering what else to add to mine. My bro has just got a very lovely clown killifish and is wanting to get 2 more they are very tiny and are surface dwellers so i was maybe thinking about adding may be 3 of them. Any Suggestions
