If I got a black and white clown, and a orange and white clown.
Would they breed?
Ovbiously its not as simply as that but im just wondering.

Yeah ,no problem..have seen many mixed perc pairs before..percs come in numerous colour morphs now but are all the one species...careful not to add an oscellaris by mistake but!!!

Oscellaris will be more washed out in colour and will not show as much black between the orange and white bands. Check with lfs when buying if they were brought in as percs or oscellaris, most lfs will be selling tmc tankbred stock here nowadays, so will be able to tell exactly which they are stocking.

I wont be getting them from a lfs.
I will be getting them from a wholesaler.

Again will probably come from tmc...if wild caught think carefully before buying..again a decent w/saler will be able to tell you which species they are.

Oh yeah, I forgot about that.
A wild caught would ovbiously be harder to feed.
hmmm.
Now i've come to a hard decision.
Pay like £5 for a clown, hoping it will eat.
Or pay £15+ for a clown I know will eat.
I would rather pay the money to be fair though.

Definately worth the extra cash..these wild guys are hard to settle and should definately be quarantined as they can carry numerous pathogens with them, internal and external.

I wouldnt mind aiming to get a certain breeding pair of fish.
Not so much clowns.
And give it a try, but I will wait till I know alot more about marine keeping.

- Royal Dottyback // Bicolor Pseudochromis
- Firefish // Nemateleotris magnifica
- Black And White Clown Fish
- Orange And White Clown Fish
- 2 Peppermint Shrimp
- 1 Scarlet Shrimp
- 3 astrea snails
- 6 nassarius snails
- 6 cerith snails
- 4 red legged hermits

Or would you say im at full stocking? OR is there any fish you recommend you think would look good in there, with the stocking I have already chosen.
