i voted in the last catagory as i like catffish & some of them dont come cheep but they are well worth it  last fish i bought was a Acanthicus hystrix (lyre tail pleco) L155 cost£60  but worth it :D

Most of the fish I've bought were less than £2.50 (Tetras / Danios / Platys etc). I had a pair of angels, which cost £3.50 each, but they died.

Most expensive would be the 2 common plecs that came to visit one day when I was out, they were apparently £7.50 each but as I didn't buy them it doesn't count.

Plus, I gave the last one to one of my LFS recently (they have a speciality large fish section) and got a £15 credit voucher for him, so I guess I actually made money on that one!

:p

$25 for a cowntail betta (not including shipping). $30.00 for 3 Adolfoi corys that all died within a few days. I would happily spend that much and more for another group of Adofois. I'm also thinking about getting some Sterbai Corys and they usually run $15-$20 a piece around here.

My most expensive fish were like 40$ each discus, and yes they are worth it i think :)

$40 for a 6 inch angelfish.

Or you could say $400 for a full grown oscar. But he came wit h2 55 gallon tanks and a stand. :D

I was very tempted to go for an expensive hm betta for my breeding program, but I went with deltas that came from hm stock instead. They were much cheaper and then when I do get a hm, I will get to feel some triumph for it instead of just wallet shock.

....

ermm... i think up to now probably my most expensive fish was an elephant nose at about £10 who unfortunately didnt last long....lovely fish though, would love to get another when they come back into season next year.... after that probably a draw between my peacock gobies and blue rams both at £6, think it was a good price for my gobies but maybe bit on the expensive side for my rams.... mostly i've bought alot of fish between £2-3.... i would love to have something a bit more specialist but space or cash doesnt really permit at the moment :)

austrailian rainbows. 10 bucks each, we'd purchased 6.

we lost 5 over an amonia spike (thanks to the death of the breeding snailfest in the fluval)>.<
