What they most you've ever spent on a fish ?

Well that doesn't quite technically count then as you haven't yet spent that money

The most expensive have been some of the Malawi cichlids and a couple of plecs. That's if you don't count the price of an impulse betta - he was £3.99 and cost me £50 for a tank to put him in (d'oh). But some of my favourite fish have been the 99p ones!! My yellow Aulonocara Nyassaes were £12.50 each but are very purty:

I added it up and there's £90 of fish in the Malawi tank.... and it's no way my favourite tank

And just last week I bought an 'ancistrus sp' for £20 and an L200 for £30....eek

I think I need to stop taking my wallet into fish shops!!!

seeing as coldwater fish are fairly cheap, and when I got my tropicals i went to a shop that was shutting down, all my fish have been fairly cheap- only up to a fiver.

I have never spent more that £3 on a fish - gold zebra loaches, would have paid more for them though they're fantastic fish.

The most I have spent is $20 for an almost fully grown angel. He is lovely and I would do it again. I see angels 1/2 his size for $15-$30 depending on the store. He has a mate and they spawn every 2 weeks like clock work. I also spent roughly $13 each for my 6 boesmani rainbows. I want more of those, but I will go when I can get them for 1/2 the price(every thursday).

$45 for a pair of bettas, plus shipping. But totally worth it. They are a lovely pair of black and white marble plakats.

As for a single trip to the shop, good thing you didn't ask that bloo. Too much is all I can say, too much.........

Around $30 for my Gold Banded Peckoltia Pleco (L-134).
A very expensive fish is a zebra plec which are sometimes sold in the $200s

Your Ancistrus Sp. Looks like a Hypancistrus sp. L136/262. It is related to the Queen Arabesque pleco - L260. Very nice though..

Most I have spent on a fish is probably on plecos, I have spent up to £45. However I have bought more expensive multiple fish. My 6 Queen Arabesques will cost me £115.
