I am absalutly amaised at how cheap these fish are. Befor I even dreamed of owning a tank mysef I would see some setups and think, S**t, somt of these fish must be well expensive. But to my suprise, there as cheap as chips!! Infact it would be more expensive to buy a cod or haddock from the chippy!!

£19.99 for a Golden Nugget Pleco. Lovely fish but it died when I had water quality problems (dead fish in filter). I was new to fishkeeping and did not know fish could get in there. Well I know now don't I ?! :(

I might be spending £20 in the coming weeks on a HM betta....
The poll isn't meant to include postage - just the actual fish ;) (so £12 for a Betta - which is still expensive in Betta terms ! )

If I included postage to my own max amount would have been much much higher too.

I bought a 12" male asagi koi for 150$ and he was so beautiful. I'll never be able to get another fish like that for the price.

Of course I bought him right after I had three small fish die from gill problems....The whole pond was showing symptoms in about a week so he didn't last long :-(

The dearest I paid was £6.50 for a red tailed shark. I've jusr seen a Zebra Plecs at my lfs for £35.99. If it's still there when I come back off holiday next week, that'll be my most expensive fish.

£20 for a female sajica but she's special, a real little caution.

My most expensive was a plec, at £70. He was lovely, I think he was worth it. He died during the recent heatwave though.

Spud (suvatti puffer) was £35 and Vicky (royal plec) was £26...
most of my fish fall in the £2-10 range, although I also have quite a lot in the £10-20 range.

I think the 'average' fish I buy is usually about £6 or so.

Are they REAL Zebra plecs or false zebra plecs?

Ben
Nah, at that price they won't be real zebra plecs - there's just absolutely no way :)

Most Expensive Betta, the Rosetail in my Sig £20.00
