What Lurks In The Deep Dark Places.

Thats a shame O'well once everything has settled down at least you will have something to do.

well this tank is slowly coming back around and i have some plans to mkae it super better...er

i am gonna put some macro's into the display with my one survivng gorg :( sadly the others failedwhen i added the skimmer, i failed to up my feeding to compensate for the skimmer :( basic error.

on a happy note my red sea cleaner wrasse has vanished, i dont care why but it is gone :) after all the time i spent trying to catch the #41#### thing i am just glad to be shot of it.

now onto the really happy news, my LFS is getting me a fuzzy dwarf lionfish :) so as soon as everything is upto scratch again he will be goig in :)

I had a fuzzy dwarf lion buetiful fish :good:

So I garner then that it's best to add the skimmer when the tank initially initially setup, not aftewards. How unfortunate that you lost some of your stock, Sorgan.

Well, I look forward to the updated pictures. Macros, eh? Are we perhaps going planted? Wonder who been influencing you? :shifty:

i dunno seffie, lemme ask the baby. it must ahve a mobile? right?

regarding skimmer, it was a problem for me as so much of my stock was feed dependant, by skimming you essentially strip the water of all food therefore corals such as the ones i keep need to be supplied with food.

sadly i didnt think to up my dosing so they died... we live and we learn.

yes you did have a hand in the macro algae idea but it seems such a good idea i cannot think why i didnt do it before.

i thought you would need a skimmer more when your get feeding corals
i was gonna get one in a couple of months to help with the extra food when i get them im only stocking lightly till i get a skimmer

It's a toss up between skimming and feeding more or not skimming and trying other means.
There is many opinions on what is better but very few facts.

Righty so in keeping with the rebirth this tank is taking a slightly new direction for a while.
Seeing as I Only have 1 piece of NPS left in it I have decided to have it FOWLR for a while untill my routine is back to a reasonable place.

This doesn't mean I am giving up on azoox, totally the other way in fact as I have a few ideas and this gives me time to plan, research and build.
But to the now, today I will be doing another 25l WC and clean and also will be adding a new friend.

As it's going to be fish only a can stock a few more fish and have things I couldn't before. The two fish I picked to finish the tank are a copperband butterfly and a fuzzy dwarf lion (lion has been on order for a bit) today my LFS showed me my copperband, it's feeding amazingly well and looks amazing. So much so I was a bit hasty and took it home (cough)
Pics will be up after I have sorted everything out

its already feeding in tank :)

excuse the glass, it needs to be cleaned but i didnt want to disturb the new fish.

Very nice

And you said about my glass

ARGHHHHHH the fish didnt make the night! tested my water and while not perfect its certainly not bad...
luckily my LFS knows me quite well and trusts my judgement so an exchange will be made later. its very strange, all my other fish are looking really healthy, could it just be that copperbands are a bit flakey?

I bet it was just flaky tbh

At least your lfs was good about it
