The problem is the fish is quite flaky and timid, it also only flashes when it is stressed/scared in the aquarium.
This means that to make it flash people will scare/stress the poor creature and therefore doom it.

Well I have spotted something strange peering out of s rock at me, when I got on from work I saw a flash of yellow near this rock and then a bit later a pair of very strange segmented eyes looking out....
I think it might be a baby mantis shrimp but as to where it came from I havnt the foggiest.... Doesn't matter to much as it's really tiny but it will be cool to see how it grows, I may have to set up another tank

managed to get another yellow menella that i will photo up as soon as its settled.
also ordered a cerianthid (tube anemone) so i should get that soonish i hope

today saw the addition of a falco hawkfish

and some strange scallop

it has since opened and looks even stranger.

lol silly scallop has swam (yes it swims) off the rock and is now onthe sand bed, every time i see it its flipped itself over and extended

Was thinking of getting an electric flame but tube nems the next on the list I will try some other bivalves though after falling in love with this little one.

I think something has been eating the scallop, that or it has failed very quickly, sadly as I havnt the fogiest what it is I do not know if it's a bmnatural thing or something else.

It will leave a pretty shell I suppose.

Oh no!! I recently lost a mussell that I recently bought. Shame. It was only £3 but still! Not going there again. My flame scallops are gd though.
