What Do You Think On The Colour Of My New Bubble Tip Anemone?

my bad. I swear someone told me that once when I was nominating in household pets.

I see fish can't be nominated anyway :( That sucks. Fish are what this whole forum is based on...I wonder what happened with it before...curiosity killed the cat though

Thought I would update this for you guys. I have learnt so much about the BTA during my short time with my own. The clowns are doing great, the anemone has increased more than tripple its size in the past few weeks and hasnt moved from the original spot I put it in. I do however have one concern, where it has opened up so much I can now see the whole of its oral disc. Its very patchey as you can see in the photo (this was shot with a flash to enhance the areas of colour to see in photo). Is this what they mean by bleaching? When I bought it, I could only see a small oral disc which was purpel. Now it has grown rapidly, the colouration has changed.

Over the weekend I added in a cleaner shrimp. The little guy is only 2cm long in the body! He wasnt to be seen until today. When I dropped the anemone's lance fish into its tenticles, the shrimp shot out from the caves and wrestled the BTA for the fish. He got right amongst the tenticles but couldnt get the fish. He spent the rest of the evening walking over the anemone and trying to grab a clown fish to clean! I dont think they like him just yet :p

Looked in my tank about half an hour ago and just caught the end of my RBTA splitting! It has now divided and I have 2 awesome anemones squeezed into the cave. Dr Evil is loving it. I will post some pictures when I am able to get a good one! :) :) :)

Oh how fantastic, will you be keeping him or selling? If you are anywhere near me I would be very interested :good:

Nice1 mate, I am actually considering getting myself a BTA after having read this thread. looking forward to some pics

Defo get one, they are brilliant. Do you have some clowns?

Seffie, yes I am going to try and sell one of the halfs, I was thinking about putting one half in my frag tank, but it would cause much stress to me if it was to wonder and sting everything

Kinda glad it split, now I have a smaller nem which I much prefer :p.

BTA's round here are about £20-£30 for a 6-8" diameter specimen Scott :good: A lot of angel's will peck and them though, and I know you are into your angels...

All the best
