What are you doing today?

I saw a marketplace ad - everything in barn must go, $12. There was a sewing machine on the list. It appears to be a shuttle, manufactured by National, no idea what brand will be on it, and well a picture is worth 1000 words. I inquired did it sell, if it was $12 I could maybe afford to take a chance on it. he offered it to me for $100, and i said I'll be happy to let you keep it. Barn finds are often rusted solid on the inside
Gotta love those barn finds. Eldest son pulled into the driveway about a year and a half ago followed by a flatbed truck. On the truck an old Ford Edsel. Asked him what was happening, and he said he purchased the car in North Carolina and knew I had always talked about owning one. Here you go he says!! I did not ask what he paid, nor did I want to know. He said this will be a great pop and son project for us. He is a car guy, I am not, Please note he lives about 800 miles distant.

After it was unloaded we looked it over. Motor seized and it is a two door, I think the Ranger model. It was once butter yellow and white. It came "home" complete with plenty of surface rust.

Today? It sits right where we left it in an open sided shed off the side of my workshop. He has puttered around it here and there when visiting. Someday perhaps it will actually operate.

way back my dad bought one of the 58 Edsel , it was the gold/white model with the 475cu. in. engine and the push button shift in the middle of the steering wheel and the speedometer floated like a compass. that thing rode great but I wasn't allowed to drive it when I got my license.

today I am sort of resting. Getting christmas cards with photos sent out and a doc appointment later. cold front came thru. I may have to warm the bee syrup if the sun doesn't, they need fed, my white hive is very light. going to have to make fondant soon.

I did water changes on the 55 and the 40. 3 to go when I get home from the doc. and I need to get seeds out of flower heads and into envelopes on my little jar collection.

I have one final episode left to watch on Arcane. Might watch it later tonight or tomorrow.

Anyone else been watching it?

Its so well put together. I'm thinking it'll win best animation of the year, I'd be shocked if it didn't

Major BIG water changes in all my aquariums today . By the time I piddled around looking at the fish and out the window I spent the whole afternoon in my fish room . I like a day like that once a week .
Nothing lowers my blood pressure more than watching my fish.

Done now but spent time fighting with Spectrum Cable. My modem went dead and they wanted to charge me $65.00 USD to have a tech replace. Boils down to the new modem will be delivered Friday and I'll set it up myself, not hard to do and I'll have no charge incurred.

To me this is garbage as it is their equipment and hence their responsibility. Either way it would be Friday to have things fixed so I decided to not waste my time arguing and will just setup the new modem myself. The only real potential issue until I get the new modem is that my phone is strictly land line through cable so I'm without phone until the new modem gets here. Even that is not a big issue as my phone is rarely used.

LOL! Right now the only reason I'm here is that I'm sort of leaching off the guest access from a dental office by my apartments. ;) Even that is due to the wireless adapter in my Apple Mac Book Air. It lacks in some ways but probably has the best wireless adapter I've ever seen. Ya, I'm on my Apple while typing this. My mail system is a beast but the wireless can't touch what the Apple has and won't stay connected long enough to really do anything.

I can't wait until the new guys in town, Blue Peak Optical Internet, are available for me so I can get rid of Spectrum. I TOTALLY hate Spectrum but it is my only internet option at the moment... Hurry up Blue Peak! ;)
