What are you doing today?

The consideration factor should be the resolution of your screen. I game just fine @ 1440p with a 4070; if you are into 4k monitors waiting for the 50 series might make sense - if you are a 1080p sort of person then 4070 is more than enough. Of course when the 50 series come out the 4 series might (or might not) drop in price conversely there is blackfriday consideration.
Thanks for the info. I need 1440p 60fps minimum. Some games such as CS2 I need 250+. I’m thinking of waiting a couple months just to see how the 50 series turns out. There’ is the possibility of a 5060 Ti or Super being more powerful than a 4070. Will just have to see what comes out of the oven (nvidia joke )

I need to get Sadie the velociraptor in her crate so I can go get the big dogs. I am not buying aquariums, gaming equipment or video making equipment at this time, lol.

She looks like one sweet pup - pity you have to put her in a crate.

On day one in Los Angeles we visited Huntington Gardens, a massive estate gifted by a railroad baron family in the early 20th century. There are Chinese, Japanese, desert, subtropical, Rose and Australian gardens as well as an art museum and a manuscript museum on the campus. The Japanese gardens had a variety of bonsai trees, even an olive bonsai tree. Magnum would like that. There were beautiful Koi ponds too.

It does prevent my furniture from being eaten, and she keeps her toys there. She has a HUGE backyard but sleeps in the house, in her crate. She watches tv with me and enjoys Delectable cat treat commercials very much. When she watches tv she is in my lap or next to my chair, but since she is still potty training I do have to keep an eye on her, and if I can't keep an eye on her she is crated or outside, and if she is crated and needs to potty, she barks to let me know. It works well. All my dogs are crate trained. they know to go to their crate to get a treat when they come in from outdoors. They sleep there. 2 have orthopedic mattresses, as needed. They are good. Pity people don't train their pups, then dump in the street or take them to the shelter. A lot of dogs get euthanized when training as a puppy would make them canine good citizens. She is crated when the big dogs are loose in house because 14 year old shar pei mix does not appreciate puppy nibbling on him and I don't want her hurt. He is old and will probably not be around in a year, but the rotating crate system works well.

We haven't closed the door on our crate for several months, but our dog (20 months now) still goes in a lot, and would be very upset if we removed it. We refer to it as her room.

It takes too much space, and she hasn't eaten a baseboard or windowsill in a year, but it's one of her spots. She barely fits herself inside.

Today I'm cooking squash casserole and sweet potato casserole to take to a Gratitude Dinner held at a recovery center I volunteer at. I'm supposed to take a dessert too- what the heck did I sign up for man LOL. Might have to buy that. I do love cooking, though, but time will run short because I have to go help set up etc.

Last night I took my wife to see the Mariah Carey Christmas show in Atlanta. For me it was great- she played almost all Christmas songs and the thing only lasted 1.5 hours (kind of a rip-off, but I was grateful to be leaving). My wife, on the way home, mumbled, "Mariah pissed me off..." She wanted a 2 - 3 hour show :D

My wife insisted we take the dog for pictures with Santa at the SPCA. It's a fundraiser for them, so fair enough, we did it. Shock of all shocks, the puppy behaved admirably.
I'm looking forward to seeing the results.

People are strange though. In the middle of all these family dogs, and piles of little kids, a guy brought in a reactive, angry, very large pit bull type he could hardly control. It was a denial of reality move, and he left before the photo was taken as the dog was lunging at everyone and everything. I think the Santa volunteer was a bit worried, as the dog had jaws of steel, nice teeth and a serious level of hostility. All's well that ends well though, and the owner got the idea this wasn't working in time.

Santa'd better get a suit of armour to go down the chimney in their house.

I had a dog that was so perfect in every way from baby to adult, that still at this day, when I think about how she acted in public in any situations, baffles me deeply. It was the most caring and sentient being I ever saw.

It was a mixed rough collie and husky... From little children afraid of dogs to thieves trying to enter your house. This dog acted on her own like it was able to read our mind.

Christmas and Halloween where her favorite part of the year. And she loved playing with children... Loll.
