What are you doing today?

I've never been much of a runner, but recently I decided to see what my mile time is. 9:30. Yikes that pretty bad. This summer I hope to get that down to under 7 minutes. Wish me luck 😬
I bet you'll get it. When starting a new athletic endeavor, it's pretty common to make drastic gains early on as your body quickly adjusts to new demands. At least, I remember it being that way when I was your age. It might take some dedication and consistency, but it's doable. Good luck.

Thanks :)

Biggest fish of the year so far!
I'm really happy about this catch! 2+ lb bass! Really nice!

I'm really happy with this year's fishing. I don't normally catch bass, but now that I'm really trying to target them, I've been catching them.

Bass fishing is like thunder on the water. Used to fish in a few tournaments in New York and Vermont when my sons were young but now just Linda and I as part of a day on the water.

There is a backwater on the New York Vermont border, a back road off a couple other back roads. There is a natural berm where it borders Lake Champlain. In the early spring the lake overflows the berm and floods the backwater. Because it is shallow, 8 feet is the deepest I have located, it warms early and the bass and pike spawn there. The water recedes and fish are caught behind the berm. There is no fishing pressure because from the road the place looks like a shallow swamp, BUT, about 100 yards out and behind a lot of cattails, it opens up.

Caught some of the largest bass and pike back there. Took a 41-inch pike on a crippled frog on that somewhat secret spot.

NICE FISH you are holding BTW.

That's awesome!!
And thats still cool you can enjoy it with your wife! I'm sure it's nice when your significant other also likes to fish.

Thats EPIC! Always cool when you can have your own secluded spot like that!

Thanks man!! Definitely my biggest bass I've caught. Super fun catch. I was so happy reeling that sucker in

Today I will finally till. Linda’s garden after several starts and stops. Will also order two rear tires for the Craftsman tractor. It was bought in 1986 and the originals need pumping every few hours now. Might as well service to.

Suffering through a bout of gout. But will still take grandkids to the park. A promise is a promise.
Can't let little things like gout get in the way of grandkid time. I didn't know whether to put the "sad" emoji or the "winner" emoji on this post.

Went hiking and saw some wild fish in a local stream today. I wonder what kind they were. I don’t normally see very many, but today for whatever reason there was probably a school of 20-30-40 of them every ten feet along the stream.

Trying to remember what I once knew about wooden airstones after wasting money on a terrible top-fin air wall product. Suction cups don't grip,, does not grip the diffusor either and just bubbles out the largest hole in the strip.

found this:
"Very true, wooden airstones are the VCR's of today"

Nice is that a small mouth? I would go with my parents every year bass fishing at Charleston Lake in Canada, great memories🇨🇦

That's a LM bass. I am about 6 weeks away from a few week fishing vacation in northern MN. LM are not the favored species up north, but they grow some nice ones.
