Wow!!... you guys!... it came to me as much as a surprise as anything.... I'd rather be a junior member on this forum (best tropical fish forum IN THE WORLD), than being a mod on any other.... Is there some kind of compulsory time where you aren't allowed to post before coming a mod?I noticed BTT, RDD and now Ludwig all stopped posting for a week or two before being appointed... Just wondering

You have to spend 2 weeks in the desert on a survival mission eating spiders and scorpions to prove you have what it takes.

Seriously, I'm not really certain what that may be. Just coincidence I guess. I know for me, it was totally out of the blue so I had no clue I was going to be asked. That is usually the case. Once all the mods are in agreement on a new mod, they are asked if they are interested. There is no pre-invite.

Edit to say: The reason I stopped posting so much before being appointed was we had just had a baby. I wasn't seconded to a desert island or anything.
