Warning Do Not Open If You Are Easily Offended

Same thread was started in the Hybrid section a few days ago, but guess not many people would have seen it there.

as I didn't see it there, that is an accurate stetment. ;)
I guessed as much - that's why I linked it - so that people here in this section can read those views too and comments too. I know it's not like you to double post ;)

Oh, well atleast some dogs look allright with their ears/tails docked, this is just stupid. How is it supposed to swim?

The US still docks tails and ears and declaws. Never liked those practices. Humans do cruel things to their fellow creatures, from eating to fighting, to cosmetic or behavioral "adjustments". I pick my battles, and know I can't win them all.

Give me my boxer anyday. At least he doesn't experiance any problems minus a tail. He is of coarse the last of a generation. With docking and declaws now only occuring in working dogs and to be honest I think that is good. However take it for someone who has seen the process done 2 day old puppies feel very little pain from the process. They hardly let out a squeak.

That is just pure cruel preformed in a proper surgery with the correct utensils a dog loosing its tail should hardly bleed at all. And the law for a long time in Britian has been that only vets can dock dog tails.

Dont they look better with their tail fins? Japanese people are going overboard. Dead ebryo's and human brains for dinner is not nearly half of it

now...now...
how did you know it's a japanese magazine?
i noticed a singapore dollar sign and malaysian ringgit on one page...
were they under britain before?

don't we just love stereo-typing....

and the name of the person who posted it is shawn chen..
i do not know a lot of japanese people surnamed chen...
:shifty:
and named SHAWN!
:shout:

it really isnt plesant what some people will do,
it was japanese btw, i asked a friend i know who speaks, but i only gave her a snipet dont want to mentally scar etc

is speaking the same as reading??

Absolutely disgusting!! and people wonder why i would quite happily see every country outside of the western world wiped of the face of the earth.

now that is pro-bush/blair thinking...
:good:

Every country has its few bad ones but it seems to me that far eastern countries have a tendency of cruelty to the extreem with animals (and indeed even people), the middle east and most of africa arent much better either.
Blowing them off the face of the planet is probably a bit strong but maybe rounding up as many of them as possible and cutting their feet off and keeping them in tiny cages on market stalls could educate the rest of them.
a subtle hitler style ha?
:hey:

so vets can make money and give some to the government..

So that breeders don't cut corners and do hash jobs which can lead to the animal having a painful removal. Also if the vets think the docking will put the animal under undue stress then they have the right to refuse to operate.

agree...another valid reason..

Dude, its Chinese, or another asia text. It is NOT japanese.

EDIT: Ok, All I had to do was Google Fish Love Magazine, and look through a few links. The magazine is from Malaysia/Singapore.

I love both of my boxers who both have short tails...it looks like it does not affect anything about thim...they seem to like it better

anyway this fish dying thing is very extreme and very wrong

Its not right to blame the "Eastern countries" or point fingers at anyone for that matter.

Sick people are everywhere, in every country.

I don't think the statement was a blanket 'This only happens in the East'. I think it was more intened to mean that becasue the vast majority of fish are bred at, or at some point go through eastern fish farms, and stuff like dyeing, lopping bits off them and other simlar nasty practices generally only happen there, then they're shipped off to the rest of the world. Which is why the new dyed fish legislation has come under such flak, it only bans dying fish in the uk, not importing them.

just a tad off topic:

tail docking and declawing (is that a word?) isnt that bad because in some working dogs long tails can get damaged and tangled in thorns, declaws are fragile too. I'm proud of my springer spaniel who has a full tail though.

All this fish dyeing and tail cutting business is really wrong and barbaric, and it should definitely be banned. After all, surely nobody would actually buy these fish if they knew what happened to them? so it is misleading.
p.s we shouldnt really say things against the japanese/chinese (whatever it is dont start argueing lol) because it is just coincidence that that article happened to be based on that malaysian/chinese (whatever) magazine (is it a magazine? i cant remember), all countries are as bad as each other.
