Toothbrush

Toothbrush? In what way does a toothbrush fix the problem? I just watched a couple videos where the dude just used his fingers and ripped/peeled up the mat and just glued to plugs for new frags. So I figure I can just do this if it gets out of hand and I can keep it where I want. I do not want it spreading over the entire tank =)

Does anyone know what this hairy ugly whiteish stuff is? I do not like it and its all over my tank.

I also snabbed some tests. The ammonia was nearly 8-9 minutes old by the time I took the picture so it greened a tad with the extra time, but other than that, the numbers look great!

The Nitrites I did after and they are also a solid 0.

it depends what sort of rock it grows on. i have some growing over coraline and its easy to peel off but the stuff that grows on the porous rough rock is really hard to shift.

test results look spot on.

As soon as you see it spreading somewhere you don't want it give it a brushing to obliterate it.

Same cure for the white stuff

My royal got a booboo. I think he/she was cocky chasing the wrasse and hit a rock... It is definitely a scrape, not white spots =) poor baby. Hopefully he/she repairs soon.

Gramma is looking worse. I fear he/she is not going to make it another day. Breathing is labored. Still eating though. Who knows. I pray for the best

Still active and alive as of noon today. He/she ate a big belly full of food also. Good signs so far. Still moderately heavy breathing. Will continue to update.

My Royal looks to be on the mend! =) Looking more lively and less like a zombie. He is eating normally, and looking much better than the last few days. YAY! I also just realized I left the lid off at lunch lol. Hopefully noone gets jumpy this afternoon.
