Trigon Island 190

Thanks C, i have been waiting ages for them to get this in. I'm really pleased with it. :good:

This kind of wood would suite your tank mate. ;)

Yeah. I'm having a serious rethink whilst there is still time.
The tank is built and sealed up, so I have to water test this weekend and swap the substrate over.
But the wood would be an aspect I would like to change. It's too bold and static. I like the look of the piece you have acquired as it gives the tank more realism.
Nice work Ian
Regards
C

That wood is stunning. :good: :good: :good:
Is that a ball of moss I can see amongst it?
And where are those beautiful Honeys gone?

Thanks C!

and cheers Carl, the honey's are hiding after the wood introduction. There is no moss balls in this tank (i really don't like moss balls). :)

cheers Lu, it's actually 2 pieces put together and glued to a slate. :good:

This is a very fine addition to the tank, Ian. I think you are ready to do a competition shoot. :good:

Cheers llj, i may add it to the ASW comp, i really struggle photopraphing this tank. I could do with Mark coming round

anyways here's a vid of the Riccia trim.

I thought you were a nurse not a surgeon Ian

you'd be surprised with whats happening with the NHS cutbacks!

I think you are ready to do a competition shoot

I am going to enter this tank into the Europe aquascape contest (they can be published on community forums). I have cropped that main shot or i may just wait a couple of weeks for the hairgrass to grow around the wood a bit.

removed.

Do a photo shoot now & then another when the haigrass grows in. Then you have two choices. Besides there is ALWAYS the chance you may not like the look as much when it fills in, then you trim, and you end up with rescape, eh, Mr. "I slice 'n dice my crypts". Always have a backup plan. I'm doing the photoshoot for "refugees" soon.

Not to pooh pooh how the scape looked last time I looked at this journal because it did look good however looks much much better in the pic above :) But then I do like wood and huge plantmass :)

 wood and high plant mass seems to be a trend here. :D

The Riccia has left the building!

I have popped 3 pots of HC in its place and one pot of Hemianthus micranthemoides. I think it looks loads better?? or it will do when it grows in a bit.
