You could try turning it around and slotting it into the right side of the main scape so that the little twigs are popping out between the plants?

must say that is some really nice looking gravel too. Love the 2 different substrates think they go well together, I think i'd have gone for the cat litter left side with the gravel right hand side... but that just personal preference.

The wood with the pebbles and the plants around it look great and will look fantastic when grown in. Do A CPD tank, you know you wanna!

May have a scout around for some redmoor. Might swap the substrates around so that the biggest area is cat litter and the small piece is gravel.

Putting the little bit in with the big bit so you have wood of two different lengths could work too the smaller wood might get lost in the plants though as they grew...
