I just looked at the pen plax site, EVERYTHING is as big as the little cups they come in! and the one that is "great for impulse buys"? I think they are adorable, if only the were 5X bigger! Impulse buys KILL when it comes to mamals, how about fish??( I'm really new to them)

my local animal curality people (scuse the spelling) told me that fish werent considered animals! so i was like "well ma'm" she said "yes" and i said "how would you feel if you lived in a closet?" she didnt reply. i said "how would you feel if people made you fight with other people?" no reply... so then i said "do you like dogs?" she said yes. then i said "well how would you feel if someone was selling a new thing for a dog that was 7X smaller than it but was forced to live in it?" she said " well i would be outraged that someone would treat an animal like that" then i said "but a dog isnt an animal!" she got quiet and i said "neither is a cat, or a mouse, or a bird" then she asked me if i was stupid and i toled her "you an animal and you should be housed in a nasty cage with no food for a month and very little cleanings"

...needless to say she called up some people and sent them to my wallyworld now my WW fish are cleaner than ever! YEY!

I also am on the warpath about places who do things wrong for other animals, too - for instance, I go after stores who sell food for guinea piggies that contain sunflower seed shells - they can be deadly to them.

They are? Hmm, good to know, incase I ever encounter any piggies. Are they bad for other rodents, too? Because my hamster mix has sunflower seeds in it...

Yeah - they're HORRIBLE, almost a death sentence for piggies.
Since their mouths are so long from front to back, they take whatever it is they need to chew way back into their mouths and move it around to chew it. The sunflower seed shells can go back there and puncture their little throats. By then it's too late - they're ALL done for.

Not sure about other animals - but I think the other animals are smart enough to shell them first - I think mice shell them, but I could be COMPLETELY off base.

I've seen my ham shell the seeds, as well as my mice. So thank you for the peace of mind. I have always been told to feed piggies STRICTLY on the pellets, hay, and veggies.

Momma needs to go after aquarium pharmaceuticals as well! They dont write on the label that melafix has to be dilute before administering to a betta, nor do they recomend bettafix... That's a lawsuit waitin' to happen. You get one person who paid 40-50 dollars on a betta, and they treat with melafix and not bettafix b/c they dont say its not safe for bettas... DOM DOM DOOOOOOOM. Someone's in trouble

EDIT: eBay update: They have given me no reply... good or bad...

U know though, not only is he stupid for actually putting these fish in small bowls like this, but what i really can't believe is that if he says only to change once every 3 to 4 weeks, that would be the rankest smelling water ever. i mean if only to keep your house from smelling like rot, you have to change the water. i just can't imagine keeping my fish in the same water for more then a week much less 3 to 4. after that long you won't be able to tell that anything was in it except roting food. I mean, even on our the little cups bettas come in at my Wal-mart says to change the water at least once a week. like those t-shirts day, "god must love stupid people, he sure did make a lot of them."
