but you can still check out my website it's ......
so let me get this corect
William, The sites owner, has specifically said no you can't post a link to your site here,
yet you go and do it anyway.
shame on you. :grr:
consider yourself reported.

That is what i didnt understand, how he still posted it and the site link wasent taken away. So i thouhgt Willliam dissmissed it.

no i posted my website adress not my forum address cause i asked him if i could put a link to my forum but william said no so i put a link to my website instead

maybe mods or admins haven't come across them yet, or some people forget the rules... but it's still against our forums rules.

Links to potential competitor forums are against the rules - not general fish related websites.

Many links are viewed by the mods on an individual basis and the context of the thread is also taken into account.

no i posted my website adress not my forum address
but your website has a direct link to your forum.
does that not follow then that you are trying to circumvent the 'no'?

I think it is a g reat site none the less.

Great, it isn't even finished. It looks polished, but that's just because of the cleaver templates he's using. The idea is good, but look at our own http://www.fishforever.co.uk it has loads of good content, perhaps not as flashy in it's presentation, but it's full of loads of great information.

Advertising another website or forum here is like going into PC world and advertising your own computer shop. They're not going to be happy at best!

Some links taken in context if not strictly allowed appear to be tolerated. Such as links to information about fish illnesses, or specific species information from another source

what so u think i am just using some one elses information idid for the diseases bit but that was the only bit

No, I didn't say that, i don't know where you got your information from, most people borrow from other people anyway. What I was saying is that in the proper context, offering a link to further information about a disease may be acceptable, but blatant advertising of a competing website and forum is not allowed.
