My Fromia Star has decided to move across the tank suddenly. Serpent star being a typical serpent. Hiding all day. Boo

Anyway, what type bulb did you have previously? I know they make supposed daylight versions and colormax (pink) versions for both T5 & T8, depending on what you have/want. If it's a just a T8 24 inch bulb in a 30 inch light fixture your options are limited unless you want to retrofit. Interested? I believe the company "Solarmax" makes decent light fixtures that retrofit to your existing hood for around $40 or so. Check into them if you'd like a little more light. If I remember correctly they have LED night lights built in........

I'm always happy when I find a fish I thought was long gone......in fact it happens all the time with my Otos. The little buggers blend in so well.

It was just a crappy 24" T8 17 watts 8,000 K I think. It's funny. The 20" 15 watt 8,000 K from my qt puts out just as much light

I've been looking into a new fixture as well, maybe this is a good time to get one, and if you know how I think, I'll get a regular replacement bulb for the other hood as a "backup" lol. I think we're all thinking new tank....

It would always fit a nice 20 long......

Or I could sell it to my freibd for like $30.

Hey MoF, here's a link to a retrofit fixture that works with your regular hood, if you have one that is. It changes from a single T8 to a dual T5 with LED moonlights. Check your measurements to be sure of course. It also appears it has a sep. switch for each bulb but the moonlights stay on, that's annoying.............but still a lot less expensive than some of the Coralife & Current fixtures available.

trip was a great success!!! We went to the kittery trading post where I bought a new sling shot (made in America) that has fiber optic sights, I also bought my daughter her first gun. She's only two so I dint get her anythang too powerful.. Juss a Stoeger .177 cal pellet gun.. It's good for a thousand feet per second..

Also stopped by the rockport store and got some new boots..


Went out last night to the cape neddick losbster pound.. I got a filet miggey with lobster on top.. It was 30 bucks, but I got two tails and four claws.. Plus my filet..

my wife juss cut my poneytail.. donating it to locks of love..

One of my goldfish (named Cali, cos' she's a calico fantail ) is currently floating around upside down... I have just water changed all tanks and I'm going to give her some peas, fingers crossed she'll pull through!

It's a retrofit for your hood, not the existing fixture, meaning it'll fit in the same place. I know it's not a kit to redo your existing light fixture....lol

Hey Lovelies!!!


My wife was nice enough to go out shopping and bring me home two male guppys and a heater for the 15 gallon.. That afforded me the opportunity to drink all afternoon.. so I did..

I also did a water change on the 15 gallon..

Luzz is in the air at Hambone's house..


I got me a virgin female who is aboot to has a big night, if she dint already has a big afternoon.. i put one of the new males in my eight gallon with her to get a new strain of guppys going..
