I finally getting caught up with the daylight savings myself................
 
New rant:
 
Need an inspection on my car but the engine light is on.  Apparently the code says it's something to do with the EVAP sensor or something, which is a non essential part that they chose to locate in the fuel tank and it's prone to failure.  Cool way to roll..............so of course I don't want to get it fixed since it doesn't help the car's performance in any way and the fix will cost between $300-500.  I cleared the engine light by disconnecting the positive battery cable and drove it for 47 miles and it still wasn't long enough for the system to pass even though the engine light is still off.  Unbelievable.  Looks like I left work early for nothing.  Now I get to take it back to the shop tomorrow so I can be late for work and if that doesn't work, I get to leave work early again for another "maybe."  Seems a bit counterproductive doesn't it?
 
Want my vote?  Get rid of this requirement and you have it.  I'd even vote for that worthless idiot in the White House if he'd do it, but I bet he's trying to make it even harder for cars to pass emissions.............like we'll all run out and buy a new Prius POS.

Actually according to my mechanic it's miles as well as some other things like a few cold starts.  He said there were 7 points and I had 4 of them last night, but 3 still needed to "click off."  This morning I only had 1 click left and he said to drive to work & back and bring it in tomorrow but the engine light came on again.  I'm screwed.  I have to pay $5 for a 10 day extension and get the problem fixed unless I get lucky & those clicks go before the light comes back on.  I don't need this carp when I'm stressed enough with work and life in general.  Life is too short to stress out about how you're going to get to work each day.  The car is a 2008!!  It's not like some beat up old banger either, it runs great.

I know I am not the easiest person to work with, but hasing said that I am not the most difficult either. My job requires me to has a lot of attention to detail, and if I screw up people can die..
 
The guy I work with has a bull in a chiner closet approach to thangs, he just puts his head down and plows right threw the crowd.. He takes this approach to his data entry.. I am not sure what the guy does all day, all I hear him doing all is brutalizing his keyboard by typing in numbers and apparently deleting them, over and over.. the worst is when he hits the enter key..
 
I've been putting up with his annoying habits since 2006 and I am to the point where I just put on my headphones and calibrate the day away whilst listening to music..
 
Yesterday I finally snapped.. I went down to IT dept and got us each a new keyboard and mouse for our pc's.. This keyboard is much quieter..

Fixed me yet another Tektronix 576 Curve Tracer..
 
It was dumb ruck that found the issue.. Once again it was step generator related.. The main issue was that the chips were worn out.. They were made in 1969. The issue was that the metal on the leads were fatigues from being in service for the last 45 years.. I had two chips that had broken leads. U69(9) and U3(1) were broken.. They were SK7400's which is a fairly common chip, so whilst I had the step generator circuit card exposed I replaced four SK7400's.. Why not, right??

Finally got my car inspected so tomorrow I can get it registered!  Whoohoo!
 
On a sad note, we lost one of my favorite fish I've ever kept, Banshee my female Paradise Fish.  My wife's the one that noticed a fish on the floor in front of the tank and she called my son upstairs and he immediately picked it up and put it back in the tank.  She was swimming around but not her usual self, the next day she was dead.  I'll miss that one for sure................

We picked up 2 more Rainbowfish for Zach's 55 gallon, a Irian Red & a Yellow Axelrodi.  $36 for 2 freshwater fish!  Worth every penny though, beautiful fish.  I'll see if I can get some pictures later...........

Hoping for an American Tele, but I will most likely end up with a Mexican one..

hey lovelies!

finally got my Rena filstar XP L canister filter that I sent to be repaired about 50 days ago. at first I was annoyed that it could take so long to just replace the top of a filter but then I opened the box and was beyond satisfied. a brand new XP L, along with two 4 ounce containers of flakes, two 4 ounce bottles of both stress zyme and stress coat, two 33 ounce packages of aquarium salt (although I'll never use it), four 11 ounce packages of activated filter carbon, and some extra sponges and pads. very pleased with API/Rena's service this time even though the filter initially broke.

My Rena canister filters have been good to me, I can't complain.  I mean I haven't even touched any of them in over 2 months!  
 
The poster Crossfire didn't have the same luck though, she said her's was nothing but trouble.  She bought the newer designation XP-S, not the older XP1.  Mine are all the earlier designation, I have two XP3's, and an XP2.  Never tried the small one with the single basket.........I do know that API bought out Rena and sometimes when a company is taken over things don't go that smoothly in the beginning.  It's called growing pains I suppose.

I love the classic Fender & Gibson guitars!  The Tele' is a great choice but I'd rather have a used American Tele rather than a brand new Mexican Tele.............Oh, and I love Johnny Cash too, my mother got me into his music when I was about 3 years old!
