The love story of MG CT pair

Yup, they are spawn siblings. I will try to find good MG:s from somewhere else to be the future brides and grooms for these recently hatched beauties

And about copyrighting the pictures. Nah, it's too much trouble. People can steal them anyway. It's not that hard to edit a copyright text off from the picture or to crop the picture. I just hope anyone wanting to use my pics will ask for promision from me to use them. And if I catch someone using my picture... :<

Update:
Almost all of the babies have hatched and I managed to remove the female without much disturbance. The daddy was a bit busy for a while fetching all the dropping babies, but he managed well. I gave the mommy some bloodworms and she was in good condition, her fins were 99% untouched. That boy is a really gentle lover. Even when the mommy was in the same tank with the daddy and babies untill the babies were born. Good boy. And good girl, she also tended the eggs and didn't eat them.

Congrats! :hyper:

The parents are simply gorgeous- I'm sure the fry will be just- as lovely.

incredible pictures, big props... good luck on raising the fry

awwww wow they are SO CUTE!!! i love how clear the pictures were, congrats on taking them on such a miniscule looking fry!

Wow those pictures are awesome!! You have a really great camera and you're really good with it! B) If I try something like that it'll be a blurry blob, hahaha! Congrats with the new addition to the family! :fun:

Thank you all for the compliments :)

Daddy is really busy with the babies, but he doesn't complain :D

Here is the part of the tank where they are. I will remove the divider (it's a filter foam plate with lots of good bacteria) when the babies have grown a bit.

Those are the most amazing fry shots evah! And trust me...I know :S They're really, really hard to get pics of...your camera rawks (and so do your babies :p )

Thanks wuv :*)

I just measured the water parametres, pH 6.5, KH 2, GH 4, temperature 28 celcius. The tank is fully cycled, so no nitrites. I didn't measure nitrates, but I bet there isn't much. Maybe I should have used more indian almond leaf? Perhaps it would've been better if pH were 6 instead of 6.5. But well, maybe next time.

More pictures tomorrow :)

rain, is this your first spawn? where are the parents from?

No :)

I've been breeding bettas for years, but it's always as exiting as the first time (but it's a first time using indian almond leaf) :D The parents are from B.C.Betta and I couldn't be more pleased with them. They look astonishing, act nice and calm and they even spawn in nice manner

It's hard to stay away from the tank

Look at this little fellow, it already has large pectoral fins. I know, it's normal, but still exciting :D

Here's the same picture, but resized from width 2500 pixels to 600 pixels so I can show you the whole picture. It just looks so funny. It's like the baby is waving at us.

Their yolk sacks are getting smaller and smaller. One more day and they will be free swimming and hungry like little beasts
