I put my lovebirds together in a spawning tank yesterday. They spawned soon and the female is tending the eggs too and the male isn't acting nasty. It's a good thing because I just realised I can't remove the female without breaking the nest. So, she will stay there until the babies are born.
Edit: I realised I didn't give much information
The events took place in a 60 liter tank, it is split in two with filter foam plate. I want to keep the babies first in smaller space. It is easier to feed them and then to change the water from the other side of the divider (that way the babies wont get sucked in with the water). I did a large water change (90% or so), added some indian almond leaves to give shelter to the female and to uhm, affect the water. Nest day I put the male in the tank and the female in a glass jar inside the tank so they can see each other, but not touch.
The male built a large nest under a piece of styrofoam floating in the tank. I put the female with the male on sunday evening and they spawned soon.
