That boy is gorgeous!! But I will go ahead and tell you a problem I see with him.  His dragon scaling is already starting to encroach on his eyes.  It will get worse until it eventually completely covers his eyes.  That is one of the reasons I do not care for dragon scaled bettas.  Other than that, he has the most beautiful color I have seen in a long time.

WildBetta, I don't know much about dragon scales, but this seems kind of interesting. Does this affect the life span of a fish? I'm about to do more research on it. I don't think my betta is a dragon scale, but I think I see what you mean about Mamashack's.

As far as affecting the life span of the fish?  I have never heard of it doing so except that you would just have to treat the fish like a blind one and work with training that feeding is in the same spot all the time so they can eat.  Other than that, I think it is more cosmetic than anything.  The one other thing about dragon scaled bettas are they are more prone to cancer/tumors although no one really knows why at this point.  Just like some ethic backgrounds make you more prone to certain things in humans--not meaning it will happen just that it could.  In the video--it is primarily one eye that is really showing the scaling more than the other.  The betta's eyes should show up a darker almost black color and shouldn't reflect the purple color like they are in the video -- that is how I seen the scaling issue.  If you don't really know what you are looking for, you would miss it so don't feel bad Mamashack.  I do believe he is a magnificent boy and a good find for you.

You know, earlier today I was getting myself into a panic because I'm going out of town this weekend. I got confused about my dates and thought my fish was coming this Friday. He isn't. He's getting here next Friday. Silly me.

Shelster, I believe the world hates me. I've got the video on my phone and have been trying for days to get it uploaded to YouTube. That hasn't worked yet, so I was going to do it today because I didn't have class and my landlord woke me up early (had to get dressed, hide the dogs in the yard, and act awake in under three minutes) so I could get my new oven. Yay for no more spontaneous fires. However, the cable company through which I pay for Internet service decided to turn off my Internet because I didn't pay the bill last month. I actually did pay them last month though. They've just been billing me for two months (apparently my May bill is due now?) at a time which is making the system believe I am behind on payments. Of course the lady in charge of my account said "your computer must not be up to date with our billing cycle, sweetie. The late fee will be on your next bill. You have to pay us 107 dollars for us to turn the Internet back on for you." I could have shot her. She called me "sweetie."

So, TL;DR, I am not yet able to get the video uploaded. I'm going to my dad's house this weekend though. He has Internet. I'll probably be able to get it done then. I hope. I have homework due.
