emperor angel are not soft coral munchers but they will eat lps and they need a mature tank over a year to add one why not try a majestic angel they are easy to keep and will graze on algea and could add him in a few months but my brothers have not had much luck keeping emperors as they tanks are only about 8 months old and have had a lot of problems keeping them as they get a external growth on there bodys

Interesting, thanks Scott, will do some more research. I am leaning towards a Foxface rabbitfish now. Might think about adding an emperor later then, as I really like them

why not a simple tang? yellow tang...they are no trouble with white spot and eat algae all the time. far nice looking fish than rabbit fish imo.

Not really looked at Tangs TBH, they've never really done it for me Having said that, you just know what I'll get now

convict tangs are great algea eaters my lfs has 4 in there tank and all do there jobs you could try them

OK so that is exactly the same as yesterday.
I am going to do a 25% water change later today then another one tomorrow and see what we have then.

50% water change done (2 x 25% in 24 hours)

Water change was done to try to get nitrate down, But as you can see, its made no difference
Unfortunately my DI unit is leaking (new seal needed) so I have had to take that off untill I can fix it

As soon as nitrite is 0 I shall order CUC

Not sure its been quick seems like forever to me But I did think it would take about a month and its been 27 days so not to bad really

Looking good, do I take it you are no longer planning on using the Acrylic rods???

A couple of well made caves using some of those top rocks would really finish it off nicely if you are no longer going down the Bommie route. There are some flat pieces that would make shelves for the caves you could make, it would mean there was nice room behind them too. Especially using that large flat piece on the top on the right hand side, you could position it so that it is level ish but tilted forward slightly, give a nice large cave for a VOLITANS lionfish, that would, especially if you could overhang it slightly at the front giving an illusion of depth . Another smaller cave on the left using the two pieces top left and another flat piece would again look stunning and give another lionfish den.

I really like the lower half, seems you have given alot of thought and made a lovely beach area round the front.

Cannot remember, are you having coral in this tank at all??

You did say you wanted thoughts on the scape didn't you??
