this is another thread we can use to show that you don't need high light to keep red plants red.

No worries.Actually i'm quite happy with the way the Alternanthera is turning out, in both colour and shape.

I've never had an open topped one before, i was surprised by the amount of evaporation.There's a little bit of frogbit in there so discourage jumpers.

Not much going on, moved couple of rocks about, still can't get decent pic of Neon Green's

Does Frogbit flower? Looks different to how the plant usually produces offspring.
Still fiddling about trying to get the flow right, carpeting plants aren't exactly taking off.Moved the spaybar to the same end as intake, and angled slightly up.
Attempting to get flow to hit far side & roll down & back.
Fitted Hydor inline heater.Impressed with it, though it's a big old beast.

Trying to get the Alternanthera is bush out a bit by pinching out, but the new leaves are showing signs of low CO2, so upping the carbon a tad.

Thanks, bit frustrating how most of it has grown in fast (for non-pressurised) except for the carpeting plants.

Flow was my thought, hence the change in spraybar position.
Don't hold your breath on that photo

How are you finding the green neons Stu? Considering getting a small shoal for my next project along with Oto's and Cherry Shrimp.

Tank looks excellent as always.
