South American Snail Predators?

Over the past couple of weeks, I've spotted more and more snails appearing in my cycling tank, probably having arrived on the plants.

For the moment, I'm going to do "removal by lettuce" but I'm thinking about long-term strategies for snail eradication. Personally, I can't snails so assassins are not an option.

Can anyone suggest a South American fish which would help keep on top of any snail problem and would work in a Rio180 which is going to contain cardinals, x-ray tetras, marginatus pencil fish, pygmy corys and A. Hongsloi. Water is pH6.4, very soft st 2dH and will be kept at 25 degrees.

the humbug catfish is an excellent snail eater and even at its fully grown size it wont touch tetras etc. its a very beautifull and calm catfish to have in a tank that wont bother anything.
