Show Off Your Tank!

Thought I'd throw my 46gallon on here again since I've changed it around. My hubby refuses to lose the airstone so I buried in a rock pile in the back. All the fake plants will slowly change to real ones when I figure out what will live under the lights that came with the tank. At least the one on the driftwood is real. Sorry for the cloudy water, just changed to black sand today.

:) Thanks Probably not the right place but how do you like the Oto's? Someone suggested them to me and I was wondering if they are cute?

My otos? If that's the question I love mine. They're excellent algae eaters, and they're a cute green with a darker greenish stripe and a greenish circle on the tail (not sure on the stripes I'm color blind it just looks dark to me.) but yeah they're cute.

Yeah you! lol I saw some today when I was out...sigh...I think petco is going to start putting my picture up with a "crazy fish lady" caption. I have been in there everyday this week.

The oto's were cute...we also saw some albino bristlenose Plec's. I almost brought one home but decided to think on it...I really want a dark one.

Otos need groups of 3+ and bns would be fine but sorry what size tank is it.

I got my Bristlenose from a local Fish Store for $2.99 and it's a dark female, without the weird bristles on her nose. I highly recommend. My son has 4 Otos in his 20 gallon & they seem to be a little more picky as to what they'll eat. I tried a couple of Otos in my 36 gallon and they didn't make it for some reason. I've heard they should only be added to well established tanks that have been running for at least 4 to 6 mnonths so there's enough built up algae for them to eat. I used to supplement their diet with cucumber and zucchini slices held down with rocks. They loved that but they died shortly after I introduced the Bristlenose.

A 46g.

I'm def into Plecs. I'm driving my hubby crazy with my love for bottom feeders. Khulis, catfish, and Pleco's, OH MY! hehe It's good I didn't bring anybody home though I'm losing my new albinos for some reason

Hi all!
I am new to the site and I just want to say, WOW there are some awesome fish tanks in this thread! My tank has been up for about 18 months now. Have changed it quite a few times but I think i have finally got it all settled! I have 4 clown loaches, 1 black ghost knife, 1 rather large pleco (12" or so) and a few tetras and glowfish. It is a 55Gal tank. Not big enough for me. Looking to upgrade to 250gal. Here are some pics. hope you enjoy!

I'm not sure entirely. Got it from Petsmart. It was just labeled an "algae eater". Fiesty little sucker!

Yes you are right, Chinese Algae eater. Just looked him up online. Thanks
