No mate, they were just there when the pic was taken. Nothing to worry about, they're well settled and roam around the tank quite freely. There's nothing in there that even remotely disturbs them.

It's been really bad weather here. Last week was great but I didn't have time and I still don't have all the supplies yet but it should happen by may (I know long time but I hope sooner) my mailbox painting job also just started back up as well as baseball so that's why I'm also busy but hopefully I can get it done really soon I just ordered my biowheel and aqueon pro 150 watt 2 nights ago and it's supposed to arrive on Tuesday or sooner (I'll bet Monday)

Sounds like you have a great plan and you're using good stuff. You do need to spend the extra time rinsing the sand, especially if you use Playsand like I did. Otherwise you'll have the same cloudy mess I had to deal with

First attempt at big planted tank. 55g community. It needs more wood but I have to wait until payday, but I would like some thoughts and opinions that will help this look better. He hard on me I want this to look awesome when it is finished. MOre plants are also in the future as well. Got any plant ideas? Oh and the java moss isnt going to stay on the floor in the tank. I just need more wood and i didnt want it to die

I plan on using the all purpose sand but it's basically the same thing. I'm planning on a TON of rinsing lol
