when i brought that black aro i paid £12.50
the ray was a leo when they used to be expencive i think i paid £120 for it which was alot of money back then

their was no internet back then and i was out partying hard i dont remember doing ANY water changes

anyway back on topic just out of intrest what shop did you find a pair of scobina and a black aro in both of them are very hard to fund some people have been looking for scobina for years

all the fish was not in the same shop and I kinda have an idea that the rays are not scobina the guy I spoke to knows that I know very little about rays and I believe he is telling tales to get me to buy them I recon there gonna be motoro or summin. So what aros should I look at for my 6x2x2 black and greens???

sorry i cant help you with the obi rsys never kept them and dont know to much about them

but if you are buying a black aro from a shop chances are they will be calling it a blue and chargeing £180-220 for it dan at tropical imports sold me a nice one for £80 a few months ago and he will be your best bet

with the price of black aros now it cheaper and better to buy an asian green

Don't get a reticulated ray, although there disk only gets to 12 inches there tails are longer than usuall therfore they will need a larger tank. Good luck with the tank.

Great news I found a shop with2 asian green aros I pick one up tomorrow I cant wait. Its about 12" long and £150 is that an ok price. The gills looked ok and the barbels were in the right places and not crossing over. Ill get some pics up tomorrow im gonna hold off on the rays till august so I can shop around a bit also I go on holiday in 3 weeks and dont wanna leave the in laws to mind the rays.

Ok will do the only thing I could see that was wrong was the tail had a little nip out of it but its in a tank with a load of nile perch so guess they did it.

Yeah the fins were very pale but pics ive been looking at dont look green to me. As of tomorrow my stocking will be aro, 2 birchirs, lima, pim, fire eel, and royal plec will all this be ok???
