I mutilated the plants, had to cut them a bit so they will get more bushy.

"Come to me, boy, come to me and check out this awesome nest I made just for you."
ladynest.jpg

She is a short finned female and she really built that nest by herself (and it got all broken when I had to move stuff in the tank). And then she went to get the boy from other side of the tank. I don't know how I do this, but I tend to choose the weird ones. Mother of that boys killed her mate during spwning and then tended the eggs

Well, the killer was one of my babies too, other girls and boys from that fry were docile.

This girl doesn't seem to be aggressive though, just wants to make the first move, so maybe I'll let her mate with the boy. There's already some of her children growing up in the baby tank, from spawn that took place 12.4. She is beautiful, isn't she? I love those blue eyes. Her short finned brothers have the same color eyes

She is so beautiful  .....I have a female that makes her own bubble nests too....

Lovely tank rain, it's going to be brilliant when its fully established.

Any idea of the scientific name for this plant, wouldn't mind some for my tank?

Thank you =)

It is Ludwigia inclinata var. verticillata (''Cuba''), Tropica No. 035C.

Cuba is a really nice plant, quite large and beautiful :)

And now back to bed to play ninja, theres some uhm, mosquitos inside making annoying noises and trying to bite me. :ninja:

hey

do u have any information on Glyptoperichthys joselimaianus i just bought one and dont know any thig about it

I have two girls in that tank now, the short finned weird one and a blue-yellow cutie that spawned with a short finned boy just now (not gonna raise the fry, just needed to let them do it...). They both have a bit ragged fins now and I thought they would like to relax in the large tank and let their wounds heal. Well, this happened:

"Gonna kick your butt!"

"I'm bigger, just go away, I want to be alone!"

I have to watch them closely for awhile and see if they stop doing that. They haven't gotten physical yet and I wont let them either.

On pag 6 and pic #2 or 3 what is up with that bottle that has a tube running from it to the tank? I s that a cheap CO2 unit/Home made :)

Great tanks you definately love your plants, snails, and bettas

Owww, I forgot to introduce my CO2 reactor earlier.

I followed Chuck Gadd's instructions from his website, Chuck's Planted Aquarium Pages.

A bottle, bottom cut off, circulation pump (150-300l/h), airhose&airstone attached to a 1 1/2 liter bottle (with 1 dl sugar, small amount of yeast and 1 liter of water). There are bio balls inside the reactor and on the bottom a round, tight fitted piece of filter foam mat. It works like a dream =)

When Keksi is in the breeding tank taking care of the newborn fry, Mustikka (blueberry in english) is the man in the house.
