Second Attempt 110L

Looking great mate, let me know when you give the Blyxa a trim, I got sold some on here that just seems to be rotting away (rip off), is that HC or HM in the foreground?

yeah Pal will do, carpet started off just as HC and then I bought some more from a LFS, well I thought I'd bought some HC but it is slightly bigger!?? not sure what it is, was going to rip it out but it actually looks quite cool a mix of the 2.

LOL you are always having a plan to remove my favorite parts of your scapes!! I love the crypts there, they are never used that way and in a few more weeks when they bush out even more, it would be really neat!

Besides the shape you have in there is perfection as is.   I love this better then your 70L

wow thank you! reasoning behind not being sure about them as they will stay quite small (I think lol) and wasn't sure if it would look a bit better with some hight?

Its Hemianthus Micranthemoides, like you said looks like a large version of HC but it will grow to 20cm if you let it so keep trimmng it, also make sure you keep the HC short or the roots will rot and it will get so buoyant that it will lift itself out the substrate.

I just like the shape of the hill. Something I am trying to learn right now is when to let the empty space exist. Looks like a grassy hill with a bit of boulder peeking through. Better leave it at that before I get too cheesy and embarrass myself with more girly imaginings.

Whooooaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thats amazing Jay, you have a real nak for this scaping lark!! Get yourself to mine and do my tanks!!

lol mate this took some doing, several aborted attempts before...before I had the patients to let it grow in, I'm fairly happy with it still a few bits I may or may not change!!

The Cardinals are out and about this morning which is great as they never came out from under the Crypts yesterday!!

Fishfanatic I like that description, therefore will allow it all to grow in more!

   Blyxa lol    Shame about the Cardinal dude but it does happen, if you loose more than one over a short period I'd worry.

Blyxa is great once it gets settled in!! Yeah had these cardinals about 28 of them for a year and a half... I'm sure it was the change in PH I should have acclimatised them longer. They went from a stable 7.2 to a PH that drops as low as 5.5 and back up to around 6.4 during the night

Still have some more in another tank may or may not move them over
