Sal Goes Rio With A Bit Of Vision

It was all of us. I keep on forgetting that there are younger ones who could be reading :blush:

Anyway, two albino cories and one bristlenose transferred. I haven't attempted the kuhlis yet and I am already soaked. :rolleyes: Quick coffee break...

ARGH :grr: Losing the will to live. Those kuhlis are driving me potty! There is still two left, I can't get them!!! There are no ornaments left at all and they still manage to hide.

Nope, I can't get him. Back hurts, am hungry (the man is getting me a chippie :hyper: ), last kuhli won't go until it's virtually empty on Saturday. I suppose the plecs are still in with him and gazillion of pest snails that I can't wait to see the back of, so he can't be too lonely.

I'm really pleased with my tanks now, they look lovely. Pics and videos to follow, but need to wait for the sun to go down so I don't have any reflection. I think the Iwagumi is not really going to be an Iwagumi as far too many fish are in. Not overstocked or so, but obviously Iwagumi is supposed to be lowly stocked with one species. Well, forget that. I got too many pretty fish and I can't part with any more of them. It's going to be my pretty rock scaped tank, still different to my wood tank. Once the weeping moss has grown I'll see if I add more rock or leave it as it is.

ok. When I googled chippie, I got some nice cause to start some more innuendo games which is a no-no. What's a chippie in your world? lol Nothing wrong with just having a lovely rock scape. It's not all serious bidness 'round 'ere.

Lol, Americans don't know a chippie? (I don't dare to google :unsure: ) It's a fish and chip shop, but you can get other nice yummy things there. I am waiting for a chicken kebab with hot chilli and garlic mayo and some chips. I think he is having a steak pie and chips. We need it, starving!

BTW, my son can't pronounce Iwagumi anyway, he calls it Oomigoomi. So, I'm starting a new trend - lovely rock scape with many beautiful fish = Oomigoomi. I wonder if I can get famous this way? Just imagine - fish keepers all around the world using me as their inspiration and following my scape and stocking ;)

:lol: I'll name my first rock hardscape in your name, and give you full credit then. :) Once I can find some good rock in the US. Ebay ones are $$$

I think an European holiday is in order FF; that is what I do when I need something I can't get! Easier for me though, as I still have family 'on the continent' as the British say so nicely.

Sal, I have a fish friend that always says: there is always one that stays behind.... And he is right! Numerous times I thought I fished out everything but having a break and coming back after a few hours always reveals something else still swimming in there.

Well, the remaining kuhli was happily swimming around in the big tank last night. Can't blame him, 4ft all for himself :lol: Well, and two plecs... I'll get him before Saturday, the fight is on!

It was funny when I originally transferred the fish from the old tank to the 4fter. The amount of unaccounted fry and shrimplets I found, I couldn't believe it. Every time I thought I had finished, oh look there is another one :rolleyes:

I'm going to try the "bottle trap method" with my rasboras soon, I don't imagine that would work very well on khulis though :)

I would LOVE to go to Europe. Unfortunately, I don't think I would ever want to come home.

I worry now that I must torment my fish, I always manage to catch them :crazy: I use a big wooden spatula to herd them and an extra large net so they have no where else to go. Then my trusty glass measuring cup for sorting {kitchen tools, lol}

I heard someone say they put bloodworm in their net and the fish go right in...may try that one.

See actually, I think I torment them by being a wimp about it, I just keep missing them hundreds of times whereas if I would just do an agressive scoop I'd have them! My luck I'd also splatter their brains all over the glass in the process :crazy:

You can come stay with me FF! However, Carlisle isn't the best example of British culture but we're close to some nice places lol
