Sal Goes Rio With A Bit Of Vision

Cheeky you ;) But yes, I'm sure I'll have a few spare will bring some.

Tank is empty now, will plant it and fill it up after the child is in bed, which actually should be by now

Oooh, that sounds good. I didn't expect a swap, put you some aside, but if you are offering I'm not saying no.

Anyway, the tank is planted and it looks #138## awesome :hyper:

I haven't had dinner yet though (and yes, it is past half nine!), so I'll stuff my fat belly with a chicken kebab first and then I shall take some pictures and upload them here. Give me about an hour from now.

Minnnt, kept you a pot of hygrophila and cut of a well rooted stem of my rosanervig.

So, here are now the newest pictures. Sit back and enjoy. And feel free to tell me how awesome it is or how rubbish it is and what could be improved

Plant time! Got Hygrophila, Anubis, some Crypt and Bacopa.

Starting to arrange it all

FTS - no more brown desert, but lush green

Not sure about the middle plant here. I wanted to get more of the short hygrophila, but they were out. Will add some more later.

Front rosanervig will colour up with the T5, it was in a low lit tank

And so you all see the suffering I had to go through - my skin dislikes dechlorinator and messing around for ages to get it right left its marks

Time for first fishies then tomorrow! :hyper:

Prime does that to me too. My hubby always knows when I've been swimming in my tanks during the day.

Looks great! I would try to get some plants between the wood near the back so it will grow up out of that section. Then you'll have something special :good:

:hyper: I am imagining some kind of carpeting plant in-filling between all the stems. But that's just me and I'm nuts! :D

Great work!

Is the Anubis in the substrate?

I know you don't like them, but Angels would look super smashing great in there.

Nip the middles out of the stems to encourage them to bush.

Do I spy a smaller variety of Hydrocotyle too in the centre/foreground? Fancy swapping a couple of stems for some taller Hydrocotyle? :hey:

Thanks all :)

You swim in your tanks? :hyper: ;)
Will see how those grow and the plants at the back could be an option.

Sorry, but won't fulfil this wish. The other tank will have a carpet and as you know I want to have totally different tanks. But I will add more other plants (like your dwarf hairgrass) to that front area.

Looking great! :D

Thanks :D

Wow, looks really good, I'm impressed. :)

I've impressed Stevo? The master of planted tanks?

Yes, Anubis is in the substrate. Left it in the weight for now, it's sticking in nicely.
Yes, it is Hydrocotyle verticillata. This is the one I wanted to get more of, but my P@H didn't have any left. I am going to order some though. Isn't it then the same as you got? Mine is just small as it hasn't grown yet. Are there more versions of this plant? This is definitely my favourite.

Your anubis will rot in the substrate, it needs to be tied/wedged to the wood as it needs flow across its roots. The hydro I have is a bigger version I believe.

Also, its not dwarf hair grass that I have, its dwarf sagittaria. :good:

Oh dear, shows I have no clue about plants

You can show me later how to get my anubis right as I really like it and want to keep it alive. Will bring some of my Hydrocotyle and will happily swap.

So excited :hyper:
