Rhysiboy's Nano Thread

its a 23 us gallon and theres 9 kg of rock in there. I know 23g is to small for a pseudochromis but i cannot return it because it was a present of my mum and dad and that would be really really rude adn ungreatful.

Hi great tank im getting the same one only the Aquastyle 980 CANT WAIT lol, can i ask you how did you fit the skimmer as im getting that one aswell and once you put the skimmer on can you still use the built in filter system, good luck with it all :good:

i will get some pics of that for you tomoro nathan. Basically i just cut out a part of the lid in the far right section.

Well thisis the start of my tnak being completely changed. Heres some pictures after the move downstairs.

i think it makes the tank look much bigger, which is ironic because theres more rock in there now and less space.

well i think its time i did an update and ill say probably a very contraversial one. I finally returned my pseudo and my little clown goby met a horible end with my seio.... was not pretty. Recently i bought some nassarius snails and 3 green chromis ( i know i should be slapped with a huge stick and im breaking all the rules so no body else do it) ..... * waits for mods to arrive. so now i have 3 chromis, 1 sixline and 2 occelaris clownfish.
Here are my tank stats

Temp : 25 c
SG : 1.024
PH: 8.2 (finaly got to that magic number)
Nitrite : 0
Nitrate : 0
Ammonia : 0

My next adventure will be into the world of corals which should be fun; my wallet is already shaking :D anyway heres some pictures

Heh, the tank looks really healthy there, so thats good. You of course know that your stocking is far heavier than reccomended for such a small tank. Just dont say we didn't tell you so

to ski yer i know and if something goes wrong then i am to blaim. hopefully it wont but im always cautios.

hey Rhysiboy, im looking into the Aquastyle 620, but i have 2 questions, the first is about the lighting if i rember correctly the 620 had 2 18?! watt T8/T6 ballast which was wired to seperate plugs and on a timer wasnt it? or was that a different model  anyhow how easy would you say is it to remove the current ballast if it is wired to timers and switchs (i assume not) and/or is there space to add additional bulbs within the clear pastic light compartment and/or unter the hood,

the second question is you know the mystery hole at the back right corner where i think/assume you have your skimmer in (its atually to hold a auto feeder i was told) recon you could fit a overflow box in the back if i were to create a sump in the cabinet?

good look and thanks for any information

so sorrry phoenix i hope your still about only read your post today. I will try to answer the two questions raised. The 620 has 2 x 18 w pc lighting. Could do with a bit of an upgrade but will do for low light corals. I havnt yet tinkered about behind the lights but i think it would be slightly difficult to re locate it because it is directly under the bubls but i think it could be done. I honestly dont think theres enough room to put more bubls under the plastic thing so what would have to be done is the light bulb holders moved over, remove the plastic thing , fit new bubls next to the old then get an acrylic sheet and fit it over. Now to the second question ooh i never knew that gap was for an auto feeder lol. I think maybe what you could do is in the over head filter is fit a bulkhead into that to create a drilled drain. that way no drilling of glass. but ithink you could do a syphon youd just have to mod the hood alot
