am coming to the conclusion that maybe it was a bad idea after all.

It wasn't neccesarily a bad idea, it was just an idea that I don't think would fit this forum, all suggestions are welcome and this is definitely one of the better suggestions I've seen on here.

you will have to forgive me. you clearly have far more experience of forums than i do.
if you consider it being negative, when a suggestion is made, that i believe will detract, from it. even more so when you consider i am saying the same as most other posters here. then perhaps its not my view that's "faulty"

to be honest i couldn't give a flying fig, how you view me. nor indeed should you, in reverse.

but i do care about this forum.

raptorrex, i too have found you incredibly negtive and rather stony in your replies to people who are just interested in finding something out, which is all mint was doing, seeing if it was a good idea.

you do need to chill out because you come across as rather mean sometimes and that cant be good for the forum can it.. a site full of negative, clicky groups?

though i see your view. how i come across is irrelevant. is the information i give valid. or, could it be? that's all that is important.

unfortunately, you can only be negative, about a post, you believe to be in error., how could you be possessive?

and no, i dont run around telling everyone how correct their posts are. that, for people posting here, should be a given. and, should need no "back slapping". (even so, i do it occasionally) or Rep points.

but, if you are correcting, or putting a valid contra point. how else could it be viewed but as negative?

I'll admit, 90% of the time i dont look at the posters name, prior to posting an answer. as i said, to me its of no concern.
only the content of the post is valid.
