Refurbished 40ish gallon dirted tank/aquascape

This journal escaped my notice until now. I like (liked? can't tell if it's still there) all the plants attached to the wood--very unique scape. Sorry for your losses with the Ich outbreak...that is no fun. I had the same problem, for a very similar reason, with my 150 g a couple years ago.

By the way, I like your username. I'm a fan of palindromes. My favorite: Nate bit a Tibetan.

Oh... I wish they were still there. all the plants started melting over the summer when I got busy with work and since I've been at uni they've all but disintegrated except for a couple rot alas that can still access light. The mosses got covered in algae and the Anubias stopped growing and melted so I had to rescue them and put them in an emersed setup.

Since you also keep sturisoma, how quickly does your wood disappear? In the year and a bit that this setup has been active, almost the entire right half of the main arch has been eaten, and the trunk of the left side is beginning to shrink.
