Ohhh, I like the rock on the left in the second pic. It looks like stairs :p

The ro filter is in the works.

What i am now thinking is that i want a sump.
My stand has the room for it but i dont know what plumbing to use. What i want is to set up a 10 gallon duplex sump with a cryptic and alge fuge area. The pump is a 152gph ViaAqua pump rated at 3 feet max head it will need to push water up two feet so should i use ther 350 gph pump ( I only want 10x the sumps volume moving).

For the drain line should i use 1/2 inch or 1 inche pipe?

The duplex sump will be set up like the idea in this thread.

Thread on cryptic sumps

Tough to do with a 10g and that pump is likely underpowered. Remember sump pumps have to push water upwards which is MUCH tougher than just re-circulating water. Typically pumps have flowrate vs pressure curves where for increasing head pressures (higher you have to push water upwards), the flowrate drops off until a shutoff point that it can no longer push water up. Via aqua pumps are notorious for having pump curves that die off very quickly.

A bulkhead boxy thingy in the corner.Water goes over the top of the boxy thingy and through a hole in the glass about half way up.

Ah, a drilled calfo style, great choice :D. how far below the tank will the sump be?

Ok so look for something that pushes a decent water flow at at least 3' of head. The Via aqua 152g model shuts off at 3' of head. Their 370gph (model 1300) would be suitable. I'd look into an MJ1200 or a Danner mag 3 if it were my tank though. Extra head and flowrate can never hurt. You'd want about a 3/4" drain line to go with any of those pumps
