:shout: i have seen two variations of red tails one is normal the other is a faded red and also the bodies the faded tail is also a lighter black .
is this due to the faded tail black shark being a juvinile or ??????

My girl (RIP) faded when she was stressed. I think it is also down to colour variation between individuals.

Mine are jet black unlike most I see in the shops that have gone gray.

Plus mine are nice a fat the ones in the shops look so skinny.

I think its all down to stress.

RTB's do lose their colour if they are stressed.

Mine like yours mooey65 is jet black with a very bright red tail. However, I put the colour of his tail down to the fact that I use Tetra Pro Colour food. In fact most of my fish have brighter colours than you see in the LFS's.

I need the sympathy am waiting for more posts to keep me awake.

( Sorry back on topic now )

My little shark is jet black with a vivid red tail and little white spots on the tip of his dorsal fin, and he been like that ever since i brought him,
