your laptop has velvet :)

what camera did you use for the pictures?
how did you get the yellow sheen on the laptop, that is pretty cool?
I used my iPhone 12 Pro and the Camera+ app to get those macro shots.

Our front door has this elaborate window on it, and when the sun hits just right, it sends rainbow beams out. I was just lucky to catch it at just the right moment. :)

Let's get this right.... You edit our posts where we actually dont curse, but when someone uses the middle finger you don't? Interesting... Very interesting
Just manifesting and being the change you want to see.

Ohhh wow! Will you be near the ocean?
Yup! We will live right on the coast. And we will actually live in town for a change - every place we've lived so far, has been in the middle of nowhere, so this is going to be a very nice change of pace. They also allow homeschoolers to join the sports program there, so I can continue to play basketball.

Oh? Didn't know you were moving. Good luck in SC dude.
Thanks! I was originally going to move to PA, but that job fell through. I'm kind of glad it did though, because SC looks awesome.

Sorry, but uhhh... I may not have understood what you said... But I think I may habe understood it a bit

Vampire bats are from South America. We don't have anything like that here. All we have is:
  • Saltwater chocodiles that grow to 20 feet long and eat anyone who goes in or near the water.
  • Redback spiders (similar to the North American black widow spider).
  • 8 out of 10 most venomours snakes in the world come from down under. We have taipans, tiger snakes, dugites, death adders and a bunch of other venomous snakes that have such toxic venom, one drop can kill 10 adult men in 15 minutes.
  • Perentie goannas with loads of nasty bacteria in their mouths and if they bite you, you can lose the limb that is bitten. At the very least you end up on anti-biotics for weeks or even months and have huge scars to remember it by.
  • The eastern funnel web spider that comes out of the ground and attacks people. Their venom is lethal and kills people every year.
  • Platypus, where the males have venomous spurs on their back legs.
  • Cassowary, big flightless birds that evolved from dinosaurs and kick hell out of you. They can rip you open with their feet and cause major internal organ damage.
  • Male kangaroos that will kick you with their back legs and rupture your internal organs.
  • Emus are another large flightless bird that like to peck at your eyes.
  • Horrible jumping ants from Tasmania that are an evolutionary branch between wasps and ants. They have a real nasty sting and attack repeatedly.
  • Drop bears that build huge nests in trees and wait for prey to walk below their nest. then they drop on you and it's all over.
  • Yobbos, drunken idiot humans that should be avoided at all costs.

And that's just on land. In the water we have great white sharks, tiger sharks, bullsharks that live in fresh and salt water, hammerhead sharks, and loads of other sharks but most of those are harmless. We have blue bottle jellyfish, numerous types of box jellyfish including the irukandji that can kill you in minutes. We have stingrays that kill tv hosts, venomous catfish, and loads of rips at Bondi Beach that can carry you off to New Zealand.

Pretty sure that covers most of it, but no vampire bats :)
Wow!

We get various widows, rattlesnakes, desert night snakes, polar bears, grizzly bears, black bears, cougars, moose, elk, wolf-coyote hybrids, wolves, wolverines, io moths, hickory tussock caterpillars, and even Americans up here in Canada!

We will practically be neighbors now! Lol... Be careful of how close you are to the ocean, its beautiful but spring to fall is horrible with hurricanes... Be very weather aware!

I was joking that you complained about the inconsistency of allowing the middle finger emoticon, but not swearing, and then it was promptly removed. The inconsistency was removed at your complaint, hence you being the change you wanted seen, or that you manifested the change.

Here in NC, we have black widows, brown recluses, bears, lots of snakes, roaches, mosquitoes, and other weird creepy crawlies that you'll sometimes find

We will be! Yes, the hurricanes are certainly a concern. I got stuck in a riptide once, wasn't much fun. My sister doesn't like the ocean that much because she almsot drowned, but I still love it.

Yikes! That must've been scary! I usually only go out to where it reaches my waist. Otherwise I get a bunch of ocean in my mouth... Even at that level I sometimes do. Try this during your visit to the beach, go out to waist height and when a wave is about to hit, jump up! Its really fun cause the wave pushes you back, I have only fallen twice but it was a real choppy day those times. Its real fun to ride the waves like that.

It was stupid of us to go out that deep in the first place, because of how wild the waves were. It was also crazy windy, which didn't help. Oh well, we know for next time!
