Thanks for that info lads. Sorry for the delay in responding - been away. :D

So will a 50mm diameter tube be ok or does it need to be wider??

Thanks

I've just measured ours for you - its 35mm internal diameter.

out bambo is bigger (brobubly about 55mm) and they wont use it.

i have a two inch PVC pipe willl that work good
it'll be too big - they like a hole just a little bigger then them so they can protect the entrance easily.

Go sam!
I think our male will be letting the wrigglers out soon... they've used their eggsacks now and have coloured up nicely.

yes I finally found a male, so I will be keepin you guys updated. But this male has bristles growing on the top of his face is that normal.

Yes that is normal. At early stages you will see bristles mostly around his mouth, but soon you will see more on top of his head...

i counted EVERY single eggs 2day, while the male was eating. There was 68 plus 2 un fertile eggs.
It took me a good 10 mins to count them.
My fry are good and healthy. I gave 5 away to a mate. And selling 6 for 10 bucks. Which is cheap... but owel my aim was not to profit from these guys, i just like em :)
My biggest are bout1.5". It seems blood worms make them grow lke crazy!

How are you feeding blood worms? The frozen ones I have are rather fat - I can't imagine the little ones eating them! I guess 1 inch+ ones could probably start to eat...

Time to split the tank! (difference food requirements for different sized fries)

the frozen ones i have a very skinny, but long.
Yhbae i wanna see the size difference with ours, see if albino grow faster.
Could you possibly take a pic? i will take a pic of mine.
Just outa common interest i guess :D

btw i found a REALLY good article bout Albino bnose plecos in a mag my mate gave me, its excellent.

Unfortunately, my laptop broke down (I used it to transfer images from the compact flash) so for now, I have no way to transfer the images. I'll probably buy a card reader instead...

Roughly 15 out of 50 have now reached 1 inch or larger... As I mentioned already, I am going to separate those who exceed 1 inch, and give them different food. (One of them being frozen blood worms).

we have tank swimmers - WOO HOO - Mr Bristle FINALLY got it right!

counted 8 so far with some still in the tube with Mr Bristle!!
