Pm Gone?

I was having a conversation with another forum user via pm. It would appear that this function has just dissapeared?
Am I just going nuts?

We are sorry for the inconvenience. We were hit by a porn site spammer yesterday. He joined as a member and proceeded to send PMs, which contained a link to a non-family oriented site. It was nothing most of our members would want to see. The Admins are trying to prevent this from happening in the future by making it necessary for a new member to make some posts before he is allowed to use the PM system.
